Laminate Flooring

Is it the right choice for you and why?

Price

Let’s face it – investing in a house is expensive.  So whenever you can save a few hard earned Euros on a product, it’s always worth looking into.  Laminate flooring is one of the economical options when compared to other common flooring materials.

Installation

With the “Just Clic!” system, the Servgroup laminate flooring is just as simple to install as a fitted carpet.  Simply lay the parquet, click it into place, fit the skirting on the side and you’re good to go!  What’s more, Servgroup offer a fitting service as well so you can just relax and let us do the work for you.

Durability

Laminate flooring is high impact resistance.  What this means for you is that you don’t necessarily have to worry if something falls on your floor since it will not cause damage to the parquet.  Depending on the grade of the material, the flooring can even be used for bedrooms with heavy furniture and even commercial activity with heavy traffic.

Value

Laminate flooring adds that extra look of class to your home that will keep your neighbours envious for years to come.   It looks and feels like real hardwood floors, without the extra maintenance, and expense, of real wood.

Environment

Laminate flooring saves the environment by using recycled wood for the its parquet structure.  Moreover, Servgroup parquet make use of suppliers who are environmentally conscious.  For instance, did you know that Egger’s sawmills are located in the same place as their factory to save as much as 580,000 km per year of truck journeys?

Noise

The 2.5mm thick special cellulose underlay provides noticeably reduced footfall and ambient noise and also distinctly improve comfort underfoot.

Choices - More than 60 styles to choose from!
Need we say more?
Easy care and maintenance

Cleaning laminate flooring is a piece of cake.  Dust and pet hairs are not attracted to the flooring because of its antistatic qualities.  Therefore, a regular sweep and an occasional wiping down with a damp cloth should just about do the trick to keep your flooring looking brand new.

Humidity

Humidity is one of our biggest problems in Malta.  Not only does it ruin our walls but also makes our temperatures seem worse than they actually are – colder in winter and warmer in summer.  Laminate flooring insulates the ground to the floor, thus reducing the amount of moisture that can get in.  So you can finally let your kids play on the floor without worrying about them catching a cold!

Internal Timber Doors

When it comes to internal timber doors, there are several choices on the market.  One may opt for; the solid door which, as the name suggests, is made out of solid wood, laminated doors constructed of lightweight laminate material, or, the obvious go-between, veneered doors, which are laminated doors coated with a solid wood finish.

At Servgroup, our laminate and veneered doors are produced by PAIL, a renowned Italian company specializing in woodworks, PVC, and Aluminium windows.  They have, as they put it, re-invented the door.  With more than 50 years of experience working in timber, we find that their products, which we then import to Malta, are of an excellent price and standard, which is, at the end of the day, what we want to deliver to you, the end customers.

Timber doors can be constructed to a number of different finishes.  The traditional Maltese aperture is constructed out of solid wood and includes detailed wood craftsmanship which our resident carpenters are more than happy to deliver.  However, the modern flush door sits in line with the wall and gives the idea of a more ‘streamlined’ environment.

What’s more, internal doors nowadays come in a wide variety of colours.  All the traditional wood stains still exist, such as Pine, Oak, Walnut, Cherry etc.  However, what about the new, more modern shades, which we find are increasing in popularity daily?  These can include, to name a few, White Ash, City Oak, and Khaki Linen.

Another thing to consider is whether you want glass to be incorporated into the design.  Nowadays, building with light has become essential.  Having internal doors which include a pane of glass can bring a few extra hours of sunlight into the area, saving on some of those pesky electricity bills and bringing in the warmth of natural sunlight.   The glass can also be patterned or opaque.  This means that although it will still allow some light in, it will also obscure the room behind it.  Therefore, you can have the door close and allow light in, whilst still ensuring privacy within the room.  What’s more, choosing Servgroup for your internal doors provides you as the consumer with an added benefit in that, since glass is another of our primary products, we can ensure the best in glass quality, design, price, and safety for your home needs.

Whether you are redesigning, building from scratch, or just making a few changes in your home, Servgroup is the company of choice for internal doors in Malta.  Our experts are always ready to help and will find a solution for almost every situation.  We have internal timber doors which slide, fold, open in or out, are lockable or not, and much more.

Furthermore, we are currently offering a free Servgroup Privilege Card to everyone who buys Pail Internal Doors from Servgroup.  With your Servgroup Privilege Card, you will be eligible to great discounts on all our other products in store such as parquet, aluminium, steel, glass, PVC, and even custom-made furniture.
